Airport Transfer in Singapore – Things to Look For

No matter where you are headed to, if you are flying, you may need what they call "airport transfer". Singapore is no exception. You need transportation to travel to and from the island country's Changi Airport. However, you should not choose just about any transportation mode. That's because you may have small kids with you or might be carrying heavy luggage. More importantly, if you are out of time, you need a speedy mode to reach the airport at the earliest. Say, you choose MRT (Mass Rapid Transit). As it's not a dedicated line and merely plies* to the airport, chances are that you need to spend a great deal of time traveling.

Better avoid it. Yes, you can also hire a taxi or a mini bus and in fact, it would take you to the airport or to your hotel in a comfortable and convenient way, but isn't it better if you rather arrange for it in advance, i.e. before you are actually there. Makes sense, right? The best part is that you may have already booked a package through your operator. The very same tour operator or travel agent can be contacted for this purpose as well. Even BusinessDictionary.com** defines Airport transfer as "the pickup and drop-off service provided by a tour operator or hotel to its customers traveling to and from an airport".

Having said that, if you do book, make sure you know how many people can be seated in the minibus. Of course, you should also be aware of the price that is to be paid for the transfer service.
