Things You Should Know Before Your Next Singapore Tour

You may have been to Singapore many times, but there might still be things that you do not know. For instance, you are unlikely to be aware of the fact that hitchhiking is illegal* in the island country. You anyways need not resort to it as the public transport is quite cheap, but that is another story. Likewise, chances are that you do not know there is more to Resorts World Sentosa than its world-famous casino. The resort is also home to Universal Studios, one of the many attractions that you can easily get a relevant Singapore tour package for.

Here's what else you may not be aware of as of now but should know especially if you are considering booking a package:

  1. The SEA Aquarium (again, a part of Resorts World Sentosa) now has a new attraction
    • Dolphin Island was opened to public on 30th September**, 2013
    • Find out if the package includes a visit to this beautiful island

  2. Not every package include transfers
    • For convenience, look for a package with 2-way transfer
    • Make sure the cost is included in your package

  3. You are not on your own
    • During your stay in Singapore, if a shop rips you off, you can complain
    • The island country's Tourism Board has a free hotline for this purpose

Last but not least, you must also understand that it is important to book a Singapore tour package through a licensed travel agent. If you want to enjoy your tour, don't take the risk of dealing with an unlicensed one, simple.
